De concessie Achterhoek-Rivierland is een nieuwe concessie, ontstaan uit de gezamenlijke aanbesteding van de concessies Achterhoek en Rivierenland inclusief de treindiensten. De treinconcessie heeft echter een langere voorbereiding nodig, daarom zal deze niet per 12-12-2010 ingaan, maar twee jaar later.
Een opvallend feit van deze concessie is dat de concessiedelen 'Achterhoek' en 'Rivierenland' (de twee voormalige zelfstandige concessies) niet aan elkaar grenzen.
Inhoud
Spoorlijnen
Onderstaande spoorverbindingen zullen pas per 12-2012 aan deze concessie toegevoegd worden. Tot die tijd blijven Syntus en RegioNS deze verzorgen.
- 30800: Zutphen - Winterswijk
- 30900: Arnhem - Winterswijk
- 31100: Tiel - Arnhem
- 17800: Zutphen - Apeldoorn
Buslijnen
Een viertal buslijnen zal pas per 15 december 2013 door Arriva worden gereden. Deze lijnen behoren nu nog bij de concessie ZHO. Het gaat om de volgende buslijnen:
- Lijn 52: Stadsdienst Lochem
- Lijn 54: Zutphen - Warnsveld - Eefde - Almen - Laren - Larensebroek - Holten - Rijssen
- Lijn 56: Deventer - Epse - Harfsen - Laren - Lochem - Barchem - Borculo
- Lijn 81: Deventer - Epse - Gorssel - Quatrebras - Eefde - Zutphen

Materieel
Arriva rijdt in deze regio met verschillende bustypes, een groot gedeelte is nieuw, maar er worden ook oudere bussen ingezet die zijn overgebleven van de concessie GGD.
Nieuw materieel:
- 51x VDL Berkhof Ambassador ALE 120 EEV (serie 8401-8451)
- 21x Mercedes-Benz Tribus (speciale ombouw voor de buurtbussen)
- 5x Mercedes-Benz Sprinter buurtbus
- 7x Optare Solo 8,1 m
- 4x Fiat Ducato
Bestaand materieel:
- 43 bussen. Deze zullen bestaan uit onder meer Wright Commander, VDL Berkhof Ambassador, Mercedes-Benz Citaro (standaard + geleed). Juijn Rossum rijdt een aantal lijnen met nieuwe Setra's.
