Station '''Lelystad-Centrum ''' is geopend in 1988 en ligt aan als eindpunt van de lijn [[Lelystad Centrum|LelystadFlevolijn]] , de lijn Lelystad - [[Weesp]] / [[Hilversum]].

In de toekomst moet Tussen 2008 en 2012 is het station uitgebreid worden naar 4 sporen omgebouwd voor de ingebruikname van de [[Hanzelijn]]door het aantal sporen te verdubbelen van twee naar vier. Bij de bouw van het station was hier al rekening mee gehouden. Met ingang van 9 december 2012 is het mogelijk vanuit Almere door te reizen naar Zwolle.
