De concessie Zaanstreek wordt uitgevoerd door Connexxion en omvat het busvervoer van en naar de volgende dorpen/steden:
- Assendelft
- Koog aan de Zaan
- Krommenie
- West-Knollendam
- Westzaan
- Wormerveer
- Zaandam (stadsdienst)
- Zaandijk
- Oostzaan
In juli 2009 is de nieuwe aanbestedingsprocedure gestart[1] Zie ook het discussietopic op het forum. Connexxion was de enige inschrijver en heeft de nieuwe concessie dan ook gewonnen.
