Station '''Hilversum''' is geopend in 1874 en ligt aan de lijn [[Weesp]]-[[Afbeelding:Hilversum.JPGUtrecht Centraal|290pxUtrecht]] en [[Weesp]]-[[Amersfoort Centraal|thumb|right|Blik over Amersfoort]]. Het station bestaat uit 3 perrons en 5 perronsporen. Er is een fietstunnel aangelegd onder het station, waarop de perrons, 17 februari 2010zijn aangesloten. [[NS Reizigers|NS]] verzorgt alle binnenlandse Intercity- en Sprinterverbindingen.[[NS International]] exploiteert de internationale trein naar [[Berlin Hbf|Berlijn]].

Voor het station ligt lag oorspronkelijk een [[dynamisch busstation]]perronbusstation, waar diverse buslijnen maar sinds 26 juni 2022 vertrekken alle bussen vanaf een halte hebben.
